The theme for this year’s Anti-Bullying Week was “Reach Out,” and it took place on November 14th to 18th, 2022. The week kicked off with an anti-bullying assembly on Monday, November 14th.
The highlight of the day was an inter-house presentation and interpretation of the theme for this year’s observation.
The week continued with several activities like the Odd Socks Day, where students wore odd socks to celebrate what makes them unique.
There was a gift exchange, which gave students the opportunity to reach out to others through gifts.
The odd-tie day was equally fun because students came in different colours and shades of ties to celebrate their uniqueness.
The week came to an end with a grand finale on Friday, November 18th, 2022. Students and adults wore branded white anti-bullying T-shirts with blue or black jeans trousers on the day.
A guest speaker, Ms. Funlola Adegoke, spoke to the students about the need to reach out and stop bullying. Prizes and awards were also presented to worthy models of outstanding character and houses with: The Best Anti-Bullying Pledge, The Best Anti-bullying posters, The Most Effective Anti-Bullying Paintings on Canvas and Best Interpretation of the “Reach Out” Presentation.
Individual awards were also given to three students with the best-branded anti-bullying T-shirts.
There was a novelty anti-bullying football match to close the week.
