
The Atlantic Hall – Carleton University Partnership Programme, organized by the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University in Canada, offers two exceptional programmes designed to help students excel both academically and entrepreneurially on a global stage. These programmes are:
Student Internship Programme (SIP)
Train-the-Trainers’ Entrepreneurship Programme (TTEP)

STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME (SIP)
The Student Internship Programme (SIP) is an incredible opportunity for Atlantic Hall students to gain practical, hands-on experience in their chosen career fields. By participating in this programme, students can enhance their resumes, establish valuable professional connections, and receive mentorship from Carleton University’s experienced undergraduates and faculty. Enrollees will also benefit from entrepreneurial training and mentorship, with clear and achievable learning goals.
Eligibility:
The SIP is open exclusively to Year 11 (SS2) students. To apply, interested students must complete an Internship Recruitment form and submit an application letter along with a personal statement of interest.
Selection Criteria:
The selection process is highly competitive, and applicants will be assessed based on the following:
Content (70%)
Thesis Statement: Must clearly articulate the main purpose of the essay.
Organization: Ideas should be structured into coherent paragraphs.
Support & Development of Ideas: Applicants must provide evidence to back their arguments.
Insight: Demonstrate strong business skills, particularly in problem-solving.
Clarity & Style: Entries should be clear, formal, and free from contractions or slang.
Real-life Analogy: Ideas should be connected to real-world situations.
Mechanics (30%)
Orthographic Errors: Avoid spelling, punctuation, and capitalization mistakes.
Grammar & Sentence Structure: Clear and effective communication is key.
Vocabulary: Proper use of business terms and registers.
The final selection will be made by the Carleton University team after a thorough interview process.
TRAIN-THE-TRAINER ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMME (TTEP)
The Train-the-Trainers’ Entrepreneurship Programme (TTEP) is aimed at equipping Atlantic Hall teachers with innovative, experiential learning techniques focused on teaching entrepreneurship to high school students. This programme covers key areas such as:
Developing teaching resources for entrepreneurship
Using technology to support business growth
Creating customer value and partnerships with companies
Defining entrepreneurial opportunities
Crafting compelling value propositions for ventures
Promoting entrepreneurship development and innovation
The goal of this programme is to establish Atlantic Hall as a leading example of entrepreneurial education in Nigeria, while also laying the foundation for a broader international initiative for high school entrepreneurship educators across Africa.

- The SIP will also help students to identify business opportunities and to develop the right mindset to embrace it.
- Through the programme, the students will develop analytic, innovative, and critical thinking skills by working with their teachers to solve many problems.
- The programme also helps clubs to be used as opportunities for entrepreneurship. This will give room for creating a challenge for students in their clubs to shape interdisciplinary projects.
